I have a B.A. from the University of Arkansas in Speech and English and an MFA in Theater from the University of Texas. I worked in theater for 20 years, including managing Zach Scott Theatre.

After completing my M.Ed. in Counseling from Texas State University, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor. While teaching Business Communication at UT, I also ran a counseling and coaching practice. I now work with both counseling and business clients.

I also teach Nia (a mind/body/spirit movement practice). I edit professionally, and serve on the Board of Eremos: A Center of Contemplative Life.
